If it’s a matter of keeping a sick cat warm my daughter made a jacket for her cat out of the sleeve off an old fleece top. However she didn’t use it in the end because every time she put it on him he fell over. Seriously, it was like he couldn’t balance with it on, she tried it on one of the others to see if it was just her cat being weird but it had the same effect. I’d suggest you try something like that before going out and spending any money.

separating sick cat from other cats-quarentine question?vet techs?
long story short(er)-took my dog to dogpark.came down coughing/sneezing 3 days l8r.next,one of my cats gets sick.then,no kidding,my hamster starts sneezing.sounds funny, but the vet bill for the hamster alone was $90.00!so,the dog and cat and hamsters are on antibiotics.i have 2 more cats.when i realised everyone else was sick,i isolated my kittens in spare bedroom,as i try to keep my pets seperate when ill,to avoid further infection.of course i feed, water and change their litter box.but im afraid to spend too much time with them.they are still healthy-not sneezing,im afraid germs on my clothes from other pets will make them sick.should i change clothes when i go in there?or is washing my hands good enough?im worried they will catch it,as they were orphaned and feral and almost died when i rescued them.that was a year ago.they are healthy and happy, but both got such a rocky start,im afraid of their getting ill again.any advice appreciated!this is too long, after all!!!

It is in the house, they have already been exposed. Something like this is airborne, and so yes, change your clothing and wash your hands, and make sure the kittens don’t play at the door, reaching in paws and what not.
I would assume that since they haven’t come down with it now, they won’t. Not all cats exposed will become ill. And while isolation is not a bad idea, to be on the safe side, and general sanitation practices will help.
However, because they have already been exposed, there is a slim chance that you could do everything correctly with the isolatation and they could still come down with it.
Helpful post hun? Kinda your darned if you do and darned if you don’t. I just brought home URI with a set of fosters, and even being safe, two of my six cats came down with it as well. It happens.

If a cat feels imposed on will it start urinating on clothes?
we had her first before any of our kids or cat. we went though several pet friends for her she is now 7. I think she`s fed up with everyone that keeps coming in her house.
admin answers:
Cats can definitely find ways to show you how they feel. When they are happy, you know it… But when they are upset, oh, will you know it as well.
Before addressing any behavioral issues one always has to rule out medical issues. Cats are infamous for urinary tract problems of all sorts. Urinating outside of the litterbox is a symptom of urinary problems, but can also be a behavioral issue, so that alone cannot be used to diagnose her condition. Your vet will want to collect a urine sample, probably by cystocentesis (tapping the bladder with a needle – provides a sterile sample), and most likely want to do blood work to check her organ function (mainly for kidney values) and to check for infection.
Either way, it sounds like somebody needs a trip to the vet! Good luck, I hope it turns out to be something simple and treatable.
